Celebrity Death = New Malware Sites

News Alert!!!  Corey Haim was found dead at age 38.

Some of you may decide to do a little searching on the internet for news & tidbits about the story or you may even navigate to a “memorial” page.  Well, my advice is to stick to traditional (read: trusted) news sources for this.  Reason being is that the bad guys look to take advantage of situations like this to set up blogs & other sites with links containing malware.  They find a way to get their sites driven to the top of search results and count on most users lack of security awareness (read: click-happiness) to propagate their malware.  This not only occurs when a celebrity dies, but also when they get into trouble (ie: Tiger Woods).

So if you need to really get the dish on how a celebrity died or how they got into trouble, go to places like TMZ.com, CNN, FOX News (I know, I know), the website that covers your local news or even a printed newspaper (GASP!!!)
